Breaking News – Schumacher Cat XLS Masami Rerelease
The Schumacher CAT revolutionised off road racing when it was introduced in 1986, being years ahead of the competition.

It was updated with a longer wheelbase and Masami Hirosaka went on to win the 1987 1/10th 4WD IFMAR World Championships in Romsey, England.
We are now excited to offer this iconic replica of the car that Masami used to win the first of his many World Championships, and put Schumacher Racing on the map as a leading RC car manufacturer.

The Man Behind the Cat
The scene, Romsey, England 1987.Then privateer racer, Masami Hirosaka arrived at the IFMAR World Championship with his Schumacher Cat 4WD buggy and powered by his only sponsor, HPI Japan. He quickly grabbed the attention of Schumacher factory driver Phil Booth and founder/owner Cecil Schumacher. The pair gave Masami the exclusive new and yet to be released in Asia longer wheelbase version of the Cat known as the Cat XL. With a bone stock XL at the helm, Masami went on to win the world championship in Romsey planting him firmly on the racing map as a force to be reckoned with. It was that very race that kickstarted his domination through the end of the 80’s and into the early 90’s and established him as one of the most dominating drivers of all time.
Schumacher’s Cat XLS Masami rerelease represents a replica of the iconic car that won the 1987 IFMAR World Championship and put both Schumacher and Masami on the map.
